Color matters: dyeing eggs for Holy Easter holidays

According to legend, the first Easter egg was presented by Mary Magdalene to the Roman Emperor Tiberius. This happened shortly after the ascension of Jesus Christ. Mary Magdalene went to see the emperor. In those days, it was customary for visitors to bring gifts to the emperor when visiting. The wealthy brought jewels, while the poor brought what they could. Thus, Mary Magdalene, who had nothing but faith in Jesus, handed Emperor Tiberius a chicken egg with an exclamation: "Christ Has Risen!" The emperor, doubtful of Mary Magdalene's words, remarked that no one can rise from the dead, and this is as impossible as a white egg becoming red. Before Tiberius could finish his words, the egg began to change color from white to bright red. It turns out that the classic Easter egg is red, but over time other colors began to be used, each color having a specific meaning. Golden - the golden color symbolizes God, divine energy, and the beauty of the Kingdom of Heaven. The golden color is a symbol of joy and sunny gold. Red color is a symbol of life's victory over death, the color of love, life, and energy. But at the same time, the red color can be considered a symbol of blood, torment, Christ's sacrifice.
