Directions

  1. Add the soft butter together with the sugar in a bowl and beat until fluffy.
  2. Add the lemon zest, the egg, the yolks, the vanilla, and mix until combined.
  3. Continue with the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix again and form the dough.
  4. Put the dough in the refrigerator for 40 minutes. For the filling, mix the apple jam with the crushed walnuts.
  5. Divide the dough into two and roll out each piece to a thickness of 5 mm, shaping them into rectangles.
  6. Place half of the filling lengthwise and fold each end over the filling.
  7. Cut into pieces, transfer to a baking tray, and bake for 12-15 minutes at 180°C. Enjoy!
