Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the sugar until you obtain a creamy mixture. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  2. Incorporate the milk, oil, and lemon juice, then add the grated zest. Sift the flour together with the baking powder and gradually add it to the mixture, stirring gently until smooth. If you wish, you can also add candied lemon.
  3. Pour the batter into a lined pan and level the surface. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 50–55 minutes, until it passes the toothpick test.
  4. Let it cool, then decorate with icing. Enjoy a delicate and fragrant pound cake. Bon appétit! 🍋
