Soft cherry loaf cake made with butter and juicy cherries. A simple homemade treat perfect with coffee or tea.

  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%
    120 g
  • Milk Căsuța Mea 3,5%
    120 ml
  • Baking powder
    10 g
  • Sweet cherry
    300 g
  • Powdered sugar
    to taste

Directions

  1. Beat the eggs together with the sugar and vanilla sugar until you obtain a light-colored and fluffy mixture.
  2. Add the softened butter and mix again until incorporated.
  3. Pour in the milk and stir gently.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the liquid mixture and stir until you achieve a smooth batter.
  5. Add half of the amount of cherries and gently fold them in.
  6. Pour the batter into a loaf pan or a rectangular baking tray. Spread the remaining cherries on top and, if you wish, sprinkle a little sugar over them.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven at 175°C for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool completely, then sprinkle with vanilla powdered sugar to taste. Enjoy!
