Directions

  1. Mix the flour with the baking powder and poppy seeds.
  2. In another bowl, beat the room temperature butter with the sugar, add the eggs with the grated lemon zest, mix for another 4-5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the solid mixture with lemon juice and milk.
  4. Transfer the dough into a rectangular pan with dimensions of 25x10 cm, previously lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake the cake for 1 hour at 180 °C. Then, take it out and let it cool completely.
  6. For the glaze, mix the lemon juice with powdered sugar.
  7. Grease the cake, decorate as desired with decorative candies and nuts. Enjoy!
