Mix the warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Over the milk, add the flour, the egg, and the salt, mix them together, then add the soft butter and knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 90 minutes.
Take the risen dough out of the bowl, add the chocolate chips, and mix once again.
Divide the dough into 9 equal pieces, shaping them into little balls as shown in the video.
Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, cover with a towel, and let rise for one hour.
Before baking, brush the buns with a mixture of beaten egg and milk (1:1 ratio).
Put in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180°C, fan setting.
The buns are ready.
