Crispy toast topped with a smooth ricotta and Matias herring spread, finished with thinly sliced radish and spring onion. Perfect as an appetizer or a light snack.

  • Herring fillet

  • Cheese Ricotta
    100 g
  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%
    20 g
  • Radish
    3 pc
  • Bread
    2 slice
  • Olive Oil
    5 ml
  • Green onions

Directions

  1. Put the ricotta into a deep bowl.
  2. Add 50 g finely chopped Matias herring and the softened butter. Mix well until you get a smooth paste.
  3. Slice the remaining herring into thin pieces – these will be for decoration.
  4. Slice the radishes very thinly (ideally using a mandoline) and place them in a bowl of cold water. This will make them crisp and slightly translucent.
  5. Toast the bread slices in a pan with a little olive oil until golden and crispy.
  6. Spread the ricotta and herring paste over the toasted bread.
  7. Sprinkle finely chopped spring onion on top.
  8. Arrange the Matias slices, then the crunchy radishes over them.
  9. Finally, drizzle with a little olive oil. Enjoy!
