Tender homemade cherry crescent cookies with a buttery sour cream dough and a juicy cherry filling. Perfect for tea, coffee or festive occasions.

    350 g
  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%
    250 g
  • Sour Cream Căsuța Mea 20%
    300 g
  • Powdered sugar
    70 g
  • Salt
    1 pinch
  • Powdered sugar
    to taste

For the filling:

  • Сherry
    500 g
  • Cornstarch
    1-2 tbsp

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  2. Grate the cold butter using the large grater and incorporate it into the dry ingredients.
  3. Add the sour cream and mix quickly until you obtain a smooth dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, wrap them in cling film, and let them rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  5. For the filling, mix the frozen sour cherries with the cornstarch.
  6. Stretch each piece of dough into a circle about 30 cm in diameter.
  7. Cut each circle into 8 triangles, place a few cherries at the base of each triangle, and roll towards the tip, forming little crescent rolls.
  8. Place the crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake them in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20–25 minutes, until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  9. After they have cooled slightly, roll them in powdered sugar and serve. Enjoy!
