For the dough:

    450 g
  • Dry yeast
    7 g
  • Milk Căsuța Mea 1,5%
    218 ml
  • Sugar
    90 g
  • Salt

  • Vanilla Extract

For the filling:

  • Egg yolk
    1 pc
  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%
    60 g
  • Pistachio Cream
    300 g
  • Сhopped Pistachios
    200 g

Directions

  1. For the dough:

  2. In a spacious bowl, knead the dough, adding the flour.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the warm milk with the yeast and sugar; set aside for 5 minutes, then add it over the flour.
  4. Mix everything together, then add the salt, vanilla essence, and the egg, stirring continuously. If the dough is too wet, add a little more flour.
  5. Add the soft butter and knead until the dough becomes non-sticky. Once kneaded, leave it to rise, covered, for about 2 hours in a warm place.
  6. For the filling:

  7. In the meantime, prepare the filling: mix all the ingredients until well combined and set aside.
  8. After the dough has risen, roll it out into a thin sheet (sprinkling flour on the work surface so it doesn't stick).
  9. Spread the pistachio cream layer gently, without pressing too hard, because the ground pistachios can tear the dough sheet.
  10. Roll slowly and tightly, then transfer the roll into a cake pan (approx. 25x13 cm).
  11. Extra:

  12. Brush the sweet bread with egg, sprinkle a little ground pistachio on top, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  13. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 60–80 minutes, covered with parchment paper throughout the entire baking process.
  14. After it has baked, let it rest for a little while, then carefully cut it into slices and enjoy it.
