  • Wheat flour is white
    1 kg
  • Egg yolk
    6 pc
  • Yeast
    45 g
  • White sugar
    6 tbsp
  • Vanilla
    1 tbsp
  • Milk Căsuța Mea 2,5%
    500 ml

  • Crushed walnuts
    450 g
  • Cocoa
    3 tbsp
  • Egg proteins

Directions

  1. For dough, mix, sifted flour, sugar and salt.
  2. 2. In another bowl, mix, fresh yeast, 1 teaspoon- sugar & warm milk. I let for 5 minutes to activate.
  3. Over the dry mixture, shave the bark of the oranges, add the yolks, vanilla and activated yeast, mix then knead 25-30 minutes.
  4. Pour the oil and knead for 10 minutes.
  5. Cover the dough with foil and let it grow 60-90 minutes, in a warm place.
  6. For filling, mix, chopped walnuts, cocoa powder, sugar and whites.
  7. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces, spread thin in a rectangular shape.
  8. We add the filling, spread all over the surface and roll, the same we do with the other pieces.
  9. We overlap 2 rollers in X, then run.
  10. We transfer to trays, cover with a film and let it grow 1 hour.
  11. Grease the cozonacs with beaten egg and bake, 10 minutes- temperature 160 C.
  12. We raise the temperature to 170 C and bake 50 minutes.
  13. The most fluffy cozonacs are ready! Happy Holidays!
