In a pot, pour the milk and add the rice and salt. Stir and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, to caramelize the apples, place the diced apples, sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, or until the apples are soft and caramelized.
Serve the rice porridge warm, garnished with caramelized apples.
