In a saucepan, pour the milk, add the vanilla pod, cut on the long and its seeds. We heat the mixture over low heat, until the first bubbles appear, without letting the milk boiling. After that, cover the pan with a lid and leave to infuse for 30 minutes to allow vanilla to release its aroma.
After 30 minutes, remove the vanilla pod and add the cocoa, sugar and salt. Pour the sweet cream and mix well until the ingredients combine perfectly. We continue to heat over low heat until the first bubbles appear again, stirring constantly.
Add the broken chocolate to small pieces and stir continuously, to melt completely and incorporate into the milk mixture. We cook for another 5-10 minutes, until the hot chocolate thickens slightly, obtaining a rich and rich consistency.
