For the mashed potatoes:

  • Potatoes
    500 g
  • Milk Căsuța Mea 2,5%
    200 ml
  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%
    150 g

Directions

  1. Meat layer: In a large pan, sauté the ground beef until browned. Add diced onions, mix well, and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat for 20–25 minutes until the onions are soft. Add peas and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Mashed potatoes: Mash the boiled potatoes. Add warm milk and butter, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  3. Assembly and baking: In a heatproof dish, layer the meat mixture with peas, top with mashed potatoes, and sprinkle with grated mozzarella. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden and bubbly.
  4. Serve hot, perfect for a family dinner or hearty weekend meal. Delicious, filling, and sure to please everyone!
