    320 g
  • Milk Căsuța Mea 2,5%
    50 ml
  • Dry yeast
    4 g
  • Water
    100 ml
  • Oil
    4 tbsp
  • Salt
    1 tsp
  • Sugar
    2 tsp
  • Sesame

Directions

  1. Mix the flour with the dry yeast, sugar and salt.
  2. ✅ Pour the warm water together with the milk and melted butter.
  3. ✅ Mix, then shape a smooth and elastic dough, form a ball, place in a bowl, cover with a towel and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. ✅ Divide the risen dough into 6 equal pieces, form into ropes, and tie the strips into knots.
  5. ✅ Transfer to a baking tray, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  6. ✅ Grease the pigeons with beaten egg (optionally add sesame seeds to form the pigeons' eyes), bake for 20 minutes at 200°C.
  7. Serve the pastry pigeons with jam, butter, cheese... both warm and cold!
  8. Enjoy!
