Directions

  1. In a saucepan, pour the milk, vanilla powder, and half of the sugar. Bring almost to a boil.
  2. Once hot, add the butter and let it melt. In a bowl, mix the eggs with the yolks and the remaining sugar. It is not necessary to beat the eggs.
  3. Add the flour and mix until you get a smooth paste. You will obtain a slightly thick paste. Pour in the hot milk and mix.
  4. Once everything is homogeneous, move on to the final step, the rum! You can skip this step depending on your tastes, but don't forget that this is where the good taste of the cakes comes in. The dough is ready, all you have to do is refrigerate it. To have the best cakes, it is necessary to let it age for 40-48 hours... Yes, it's quite long. But believe me, it's worth it!! The rum and vanilla will flavor the entire dish and you will have some incredible cakes.
  5. Mix the dough again, Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and fill the molds up to 3/4, then bake for 50 to 55 minutes. You will see that the smell is magical! Once cooked, let them cool on a rack, then serve. Enjoy!
