Directions

  1. For the filling, in a saucepan add the sour cherries, sugar, and bring to a boil, simmering for a few minutes while stirring occasionally.
  2. Mix the cornstarch with water, pour it over the sour cherries, bring back to a boil, and simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously.
  3. Chill the filling. Brush each sheet of phyllo dough with melted butter.
  4. Then spread the sour cherries over the entire surface, leaving a 2 cm space from the edges. Fold two edges and roll.
  5. Grease the surface with melted butter and bake the pie for 40 minutes at 190°C, or until it turns a beautiful golden brown.
