For the dough:

  • Honey

  • Dry yeast

  • Milk Căsuța Mea 3,5%
    340 ml
  • Flour
    525 g
  • Sugar

  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%

For the filling:

  • Pistachio Cream
    80 g
  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%
    50 g
  • Pistachios nuts
    to taste

For the glaze:

  • Butter Căsuța Mea 82,5%
    65 g
  • Cream Cheese
    113 g
  • Vanilla Extract
    1 tsp
  • Powdered sugar
    130 g
  • Pistachio Cream
    2 tbsp

For the topping:

  • Pistachio Cream
    to taste
  • Сhopped Pistachios
    to taste

Directions

  1. Warm the milk and honey in the microwave (30 seconds to 1 minute). Add the yeast, mix, and let it sit for 5–10 minutes to activate.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the milk–yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead for 5–10 minutes until the dough becomes elastic and no longer sticky.
  3. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a damp towel for 1–2 hours, until doubled in size.
  4. After rising, roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread it with butter and pistachio cream, then sprinkle pistachios as desired.
  5. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 8–10 slices. Arrange them in a lined baking dish and let them rise again for 20–30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 15–25 minutes until golden.
  7. While the rolls are baking, prepare the frosting: mix softened butter, cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar, and pistachio cream.
  8. Once the rolls have slightly cooled, spread them with the cream cheese frosting.
  9. Add the topping: pistachio cream and crushed pistachios.
  10. Enjoy!
